The property was in the center of the city. The room was a nice size and what's more - included a spa bathtub, a walk-in shower, and bath sheets. The staff was easygoing and caring, offered wake up service and ironing free of charge...

We had an amazing time exploring the nearby attractions like the breathtaking beach just a short walk away. Plus, the hotel is super close to the airport, making it convenient for our group of adventure-seeking teenagers.
The only thing we wished for during our stay was a more vibrant nightlife scene. It would have been awesome to have a fun party atmosphere right at the hotel, where we could dance and mingle with other young travelers.

I booked a room with a balcony and it was great. The staff at Young Safari Hotel were really friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, right in the city center. I enjoyed having lunch and dinner at Porini, it was just a short 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. my stay at Young Safari Hotel was pleasant and convenient. The balcony added a nice touch to my room and the staff were wonderful. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city and enjoy nearby dining options. I particularly liked the proximity to Porini for meals. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Enjoyed the city views from the hotel and the cozy shared lounge. The staff were always there to help, even at odd hours like when I couldn't figure out the TV.
Just a teeny tiny issue, there was a surprising lack of closets for all my designer outfits. How am I supposed to showcase my wardrobe, darling?

the family who ran the place made our stay in Malindi unforgettable. They upgraded our room to a spacious one with a balcony where we enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the town. Hamza, our guide, took us around and showed us the local side of Malindi, which we loved.

The price was very affordable, making it a budget-friendly option for travelers. Additionally, the hotel's location in the town center made it convenient for accessing various routes and exploring the area. I also appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, especially Hamza, who went out of his way to show me the Portuguese chapel nearby.
There were some drawbacks during my stay. The facilities did not fully match the description provided, such as the kitchen lacking some essential utensils and the absence of closets in the rooms.

It was the perfect location for those who enjoy immersing themselves in the local culture. While the rooms were a bit dated and lacked modern amenities, the friendly family who ran the place made up for it. Hamza, in particular, went above and beyond to show us the best of Malindi from a local perspective. They even upgraded our room to a spacious one with a balcony, allowing us to enjoy the bustling street views and the stunning moonrise.
Cons: Nothing could have been better!

We stayed at Young Safari for 1 night and went to Marafa Hell's Kitchen from this place. The building's quaint, the rooms are basic but everything works. Surprisingly quiet at night even though it's in town. The balconies are nice. Abu, the owner, is super friendly and beyond helpful. He even drove us all the way to the ATM because it was a hot day. PRO TIP: beat the mosquitos out from under the bed first BEFORE you put the net down ;) Then you'll sleep really well.
Would recommend this hotel.
